      Killing floor

      So I've noticed that some members in here like L4D. Well, the 14th a new zombie survival game hits the shelves (okay, okay, practically they're not zombies, but specimens) ^^ As the thread title, it's called killing floor It used to be an old mod for UT2004, but is now going retail.. and let me just say it looks freaking awesome Here's a small screenshot to warm you up:

      lol, sounds like some kind of advertisement But oh well... just wanted to get a discussion up and running ^^ The game is already second on the best sellers list on steam, and this is only pre-orders.

      Anyways... wonder if any other forum members have been looking out for this game or anything

      The atmosphere looks incredible and is based purely on horror... awesome! And of course the gore

      I've been looking at this for awhile, and it seems pretty fun.

      I think it's also supposed to be an rpg, so you can upgrade weapons and stuff.

      I hope they come out with a trail game or something, I'd like to try this out.

      This looks pretty darn cool. My main complaint about L4D is the fact that it barely has any content at all, but this game seems like it solves that issue.

      You got it! I'm sorry... it's a habbit from MSN. I mean, that damn smiley fits with everything! See what I just did there?

      Yup, not only is the SDK being released on the same day as the game, but the company making it is also the creaters behind Red Orchestra (which is known for very frequent content updates and patches in general). Also it has quite a huge fanbase of old players behind it, so we should see plenty of usermade content

      Well, the game includes a perk system which you can upgrade over time. Basically each perk is a specialization in specific weapons and such. Actually they also have a perk which willl allow you to weld doors!

      Don't forget there's a discount on the game if you pre-order it, hehe

      Well, I can take a guess at the reason that there isn't many updates with L4D is because Valve is probably working on bigger things at the moment (EP3), but if you want some new content, just check out www.fpsbanana.com or something.

      meh, hopefully it's two seperate game developer teams Besides people won't be able to make proper content for L4D before they release the official SDK
