      Need a good book

Recently in class we had to read the book Great Expectations. I didn't read the real book because I procrastinated and we had a test over it, but I read some summaries and the story is amazing( it is a slow read, however due to repetition). The story really felt REAL like I could relate. It was sort of a love story, but not a stupid one like twilight and all the others I have heard of/watched/read. Are there any others that are as good as this one. I dont really know what to search for because it is not a typical love story; it's not much of a genera.

      Chronicles of The Imaginarium Geographica:
      Here, There Be Dragons
      - James A. Owen

"One of the best book series out right now, Mr. Owen takes the world of literature and intertwines it all and creates an exciting and surprising journey that will have you looking at literature in a fun and exciting new way. I have read the entire series and can tell you it is well worth it, I give the series a honest **** 4/5 stars rating." -Me

Edit: Do not be fooled about the title, it's not a book series about dragons.

      "MementoMori, the lucid machine"

"There's nothing better than knowing what it's like to fly like superman. Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaarder. A soft philosophical book about a father and a son that pursues their loved woman, which abandoned them several years ago. There are awesome experiences that could be used in lucid dreaming too. I don't read much books, but this was the best between the few.
