FEAR is a PC game. Play it on the PC. But since you've already got it on the 360, I'll say this.

The first FEAR game is amazing. The atmosphere is great in the game and can really put you in the mood.

As for FEAR 2, you'll probably want to burn it when you're done playing it. It's not that it's a "bad" game, it's just that it can not compare to the first FEAR.

Btw, did you get FEAR Files, or just the normal first FEAR? FEAR Files comes with the full FEAR game, plus Extraction Point and Persues Mandate. I highly recommend picking up both Extraction Point and Persues Mandate. Great non-canon games for FEAR.

Pulling off some of the melee moves in the console version was a bit hard for me in FEAR 2. I'm sure the same goes for FEAR. However, on the PC it's really easy.

Just make sure you turn out the lights, turn up the volume, make sure you're close to the TV (not too close) and in a comfortable chair.

Then you shall learn the world of Alma.

AvP2 wasn't scary at all...the bad fps and crappy controls kind of killed it for me.

The controls were fine and the fpps is probably a result of your computer.

My computer is fine, and I even lowered the settings on it.

I'm not the only one that has had fps problems in the game. Not to mention it took forever to find a game to join (stupid console port).

AVP2 never had a console port.

A console port in PC terms is when a game is made for the PC but looks like it should have been made on a console. That's basically what it means anyway...

A console port for the PC is most likely a bad thing and causes a lot of problem for the PC community. MW2 had a huge boycott on it because of everything it restricted.

Left 4 Dead was also simplified to resemble a console, but it could still be highly customized (like all Valve games) which people weren't upset about.

So the expansion pack contains the original FEAR game plus TWO expansion packs? I bought the Fear Files game (thinking it was the first FEAR) and also bought FEAR 2. If the expansion pack doesn't contain the FIRST fear game, then I want to go and get the first FEAR on xbox360 to replace the FEAR files game.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read that it doesn't.

AVP2 is mildly scary as a marine

AVP ONE is TERRIBLY scary as a marine, heck even as a predator aliens can scare you.


Also avp2 was made on the pc not on console and ported, it was for pc win2000/xp only

The reason your fps are lacking because your graphics card may have a bad interaction with the game engine

The litech 2.0 engine isn't the best. And to me the controls are great...thats just me maybe but i love avp2

My fps usually stays in the 50-75 even with 6x fsaa and 16 AA filtering in a high resolution..

I think only ATI cards work properly with avp2...so if you have an nvidia you are shit out of luck i guess.

Also, to the OP...i don't recommend fear on console, let alone the game itself

Get the pc version, the only problem I had with Fear is that its super-cliched and predictable, not to mention the whole game uses repetitive textures throughout...yucky visuals.

But if you must goto pc.


I highly recommend condemned bloodshot 2 instead of fear, condemned is what FEAR SHOULD BE.

I find it weird that you guys think AvP is scary...

That sucks that the FEAR files doesn't come with the full FEAR game. Just be sure to atleast pick up Extraction Point after you beat the first FEAR.

And remember, the expansion packs are non-canon (meaning they don't effect the actual storyline of FEAR) but are still worth the play.

@Condemnd 2: Oh my god that game was fun. I really only played the multiplayer because I entered into Mr. Sark's contest of Hide and Seek.
