Thats crappy. Is Portal 2 going to be longer than the last? It looks like it has a lot of potential for being longer. 2011! Damn, thats going to be a long wait. Not to mention it will most likely come out near the end of 2011.

There is no Half-Life 3. It's Half-Life 2 Episode 3. Portal 2 will be a full stand alone game. It's going to be a lot bigger and longer than Portal. You also have to realize that it's not just one big team working on Portal inside Valve. Valve has smaller teams of people who work on individual projects. Ep3 could possibly come out this year. We'll have to wait and see what Valve says at the Game Developers Conference (March 11th) and at E3 (June 17th?). I just can't belive Portal 2 is going to take place 100 years after the first Portal.

I'm not so sure about EP3. We never know, maybe Valve will out do themselves and have it ready before the end of 2010. I just don't see it happening. Gabe is too angry about people harrassing him for being fat.

So do you mean they are going to release it on shelves for Xbox 360 or are they going to do like Still Alive and put it on the Marketplace? P.S. Honestly this means the opposite. After this sequel, valve will definitely output something completely new. Um why? Valve are constantly working on Half-Life independent of their other games. It's been two and a half years already since Ep2; considering the whole point of 'episodic releases' was short development cycles, Ep3 is far overdue already. I'd expect them to release it with Portal 2. The game sounds great. I'm glad they've acknowledged Portal was only a 'beta' of sorts as it was pretty short and not developed very far. The one thing I wished portal was was longer and much more complex (puzzle-wise). You never really got stuck on any puzzles. The extra gameplay mechanics sound sweet.

Ep3 could possibly come out this year. sorry to burst your bubble but valve said in january that a half life game would not come out in 2010. if this is 100 years in the future i think it is going to give us a lot of little tastes of stuff that "went on" during episode 3. pretty neat valve.. pretty neat. also: a post from that thread; Chell has been cloned and put through multiple tests and the writing on the walls in the first game was written by a previous Chell. All I can find are numerous web reports of an article in a game magazine which 'reportedly' said that Ep3 wouldn't come out this year. 2011 would make it about 4 years to create a single episode which is really absurd even by Valve's standards.

I've been waiting for HL3 (EP3) for so damn long... Has anyone just played the HL2 games over and over again to gain any hidden secrets? I've found some good stuff Take a look.. I've also found some pretty good stuff on Portal as well, but I can't find the screenshots
