ABORTION: Where do you stand?

People should really stop using the term "prove"...empirical science dictates that hypotheses can not be proven, only falsified. Your data can support your hypothesis or provide basis to reject it, but it can never prove anything. The notion that people constantly ask for proof, or to be proven right or wrong is fundamentally flawed. Unless you are using the mathematical definition or some philosophical definition of proof that I'm unfamiliar with.

Factor into that the fact that the more you remember an event, the worse the accuracy of that memory becomes, and you have a nice mental soup capable of just about anything.

I think it's getting incredibly old, too. This gives the side of science an ace in the hole. As long as I argue exactly what is written in my sixth grade science book I will ALWAYS win EVERY debate. That's just simple mindedness, and it is very limiting to the human thought process, and I would hate to be trapped believing only what was preconceived.
The truth of the matter is that those textbooks were written by human hands, just as the Bible was. Science is not perfect. It can be wrong. Not everything is proveable, and until that is proven to be false, YOU DON'T KNOW, and neither does science.

I challenge anyone here to prove to me that they possess a brain. That's not a jab. It's an actual challenge.

It seems as though some people who are in power on these boards are a bit biased, and I don't really feel like playing the game. I'm out kids, enjoy the thread.

But I do have reason to believe they are true...because as I said...the other memories that I recovered have been validated. It seems more reasonable to assume the womb memories are not false (one of which has also been validated), since the memories from infancy recovered at the same time and by the same method are not false.

I understand that false memories are common, and I would be skeptical of someone who claimed to have womb memories. But I have absolutely no reason to create false memories, and it wouldn't really make sense that I would uncover accurate memories from infancy and then, for whatever reason, just make up some memories of being in the womb. It serves no purpose.

But of course you are entitled to your disbelief, it is not my intention to change your mind.

how do you validate that? How different can womb experiences be? It's warm and dark and maybe a bit wet and perhaps you kick or something. It's not all that complex, and I wouldn't put it past your brain to suddenly "remember" additional details after you "validated" your memories to make them fit better.

But whatever, believe what makes you happy.

I don't think I would personally do abortion, unless having the child would kill me and the baby...
who am I tell to tell someone they have to have a child they don't want or can't raise...
what if the baby would have a horrible life because the family didn't have the funds to support it
what if a girl got raped in her early teen years....so many circumstances
now, I don't feel that sluts who have sex at parties unprotected should run around getting abortions because it is their responsibility, but to each his own i guess

I believe they mean "prove beyond a reasonable doubt". That's mostly what it means.

I have no childern and I am pro life.

wow. what a thread. Taking on the task of having to prove if people have souls or not is impossible if they dont know how to prove it. Ironically the existance of the soul can be proven, but requires training in order to see it. The soul can be seen in the Electro-Photonic aura surrounding the human body. Measuring aura emissions is a 20 year old science developed in russia.

Its unfortuneate that this thread died, but abortion arguments tend to do this because people have to define "life" which makes some consider the existance of souls and whether life has meaning or what meaning actually is. Very messy. I hope that someday we can figure out when conscoiusness forms, then I think people can make informed decisions on the matter.
