you know about fusion anomaly? right on man i won't pretend to have a full grasp of bohm's ideas, but i find them intriguing, and likely complementary to the basic worldview i've come to form independently of physics. that's all i'm willing to say with my present knowledge. i'll read those links when i have time. the holographic universe is on my 'to read' list..

Well I just found out about the Fusion Anomaly site yesterday but I’ve been interested in Bohm’s implicate/explicate order for a little over a month. The site looks pretty damn interesting, though, so I’ll be checking it out a lot more over the weekend. As far as Bohm’s theory, I think it’s way too intriguing for anyone to ignore. Granted, I’ve never been one to travel in very scientific circles, but I’m known to jump thoroughly into learning something I’m interested in. This theory would answer Soooooo many questions about reality that have, so far, remained mysteries. Wave particle duality, nonlocality; all of the things that current physics cannot explain have been interwoven into his theory of implicate order. The power of meditation, the basis of the concept of God, the ‘metaphysical,’ the ‘paranormal,’ and the every day ‘observable’ are all accounted for in a very comprehensible theory that is backed up, even by the traditional physical methods that hold the status of giving us our most complete analysis of physical “reality.” I especially like the “whirlpool” analogy. The one that outlines how many different whirlpools or “eddies” seem relatively separate as do the consciousnesses of every individual, yet they connect, seamlessly, to the whole of the rest of the body of water. Each eddy has its own dynamics, and seems completely individual, yet it is part of a constant flux. So far, the main thing I have trouble wrapping my brain is around, is fathoming the concept of reality enfolding and unfolding itself to reveal our different realities and how our “separate” (explicate) consciousnesses influence, and are influenced by, the whole (implicate) order. I know it has to do with, according to Bohm, the inter-dimensional wave interference and whatnot, but there is so little known about these widely accepted multi-dimensional concepts that it makes it really hard to understand exactly how it is all linked, and how the information travels back and forth. I find it remarkable how this theory is so close to the fictional concept behind the matrix movies. People get so caught up in the smoke and mirrors of a blockbuster sci-fi and forget that many great fiction stories have elements of truth in them. I think that movie in particular did a great deed by opening up mass awareness of this sort of “disconnect from your physical sense of Reality to find truth” awareness, and Bohm’s theory perfectly brings that idea to the table. I definitely plan on reading the Holographic Universe also. I just recently got into researching this theory and I find it fascinating to no end. I only chose to post those particular links above because they were easy to comprehend. That way, anyone wanting to start looking up on the theory wouldn’t have to weed through fields of the more technical literature, and they can just choose to do that later, if they want. But yeah, I haven’t gotten to talk to very many people about the subject outside of DV, ‘cause I don’t know that many people that would take their time getting to know stuff like this, so I’d love to hear anyone’s views on it.
