No, I don't believe sympathy is felt out of the same reason as attraction. I know what sympathy is, and I can and have felt sympathetic to those who I am not emotionally attached to, or attracted too. Although the sympathy is definately greater towards a loved one, or a great friend, that doesn't mean that just because a person
