We are happy with our home as it is and don't require anyone to 'remove our spooks! Just supposing James Randi's mob did discover something they couldn't explain away, then our home would become beseiged by uninvited guests from all over the world and we would have to sell it. I will pass up on helping charity in this way thanks!

I totaly understand why not let people like that "check" your house. Money Isn't everything and If AIDS, cancer research was so important, some of the real rich people could give some money, don't you think? If all the money spent on wars and stupid things like that, would be spent on research we "wouldn't" have these problems anymore, not eaven mentioning all the new things we could discover scientifically.

That is why I am trying to create one more rich person. How can you say that money is not that important and then turn around and say that with enough money we wouldn't have AIDS and cancer any more? Which is it?

So you don't believe in giving money to charity? Rich people give huge amounts of money to very important charities, and it helps tons of people in need. Bill Gates has given billions. Do you think that is a bad thing?

Okay, sorry about the political discussion on the value of charity and how a haunted house could be used for it. At this point, I'll just quote Eddie Murphy... "Why don't white people leave when there's a ghost in the house? When there's blood in the toilet, you people go and get Ajax."

Things have been more lively than ever in the past few weeks. There have been a lot more words and images on the walls in the lounge. Last week seven girls' faces appeared! The main feature has been our 182 lbs wooden owl which has gone on constant walkies, moving from its position by the French windows. Our eldest grandson (4) had been very anxious about starting primary school (4-11yrs). When he was visiting us the owl seemed to move because he willed it to do so, 'Q' seemed to trigger other activity too. One one occasion the owl moved several feet across the room whilst 'Q' and his brother (2) 'T' were playing in there. There is no way the little boys could have moved it themselves. I can't move it! My husband and I were sitting in the lounge, watching TV about 4 weeks ago, when out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, the owl was on the move again!

Three weeks ago our tombstone came in from the cold! We came downstairs one morning to find it snuggled up to the owl. The tombstone (inscription Jane Jones Aged 15 1778) does have a habit of going walkies too. For 18 months it had been in the shrubbery, close to where it was dug up about 25 years ago. We think Jane could be under there!

Although in the past we have heard strange footsteps, loud noises and voices, seemingly coming from inside the house, things had been fairly quiet in that respect for a year or so, however we are now experiencing them once more. Never a dull moment in our home!

Have you ever tried moving it with your "mind", or willing it to move? Also, do you write down, or archive things that happen in your house somewhere? I myself would be very interested at things that pop up, but I would understand that you don't, if it's so common.

We don't feel easy about trying to communicate with our 'spooks' in a serious way, I think that could seriously do our heads in! However, from time to time we have asked for things in a jokey sort of way and occasionally have discovered that the 'spooks' have complied! We have asked for the UK lottery jackpot numbers a couple of times and have got them! Unfortunately we have discovered them too late to buy the ticket!

There is quite a lot of new stuff on the wall this morning. As we hope to write a book about our experiences my husband is systematically logging the activity daily. He has filled up about three pages of A4 in three weeks. His writing is very small!

Personally if I was in that house I would run out screaming (being the wimp that I am ).

Have you ever had a priest go in and say something like if the house is haunted?

Our eldest daughter is an Anglican priest! She has had experiences in our home. A vicar friend of her is part of the Church of England's healing and deliverance team, when she visited us in 2004 she said that she could sense the presences in our house. My husband is an atheist and thinks blessings and exorcisms are mumbo jumbo!

We don't explain it. We do think that in time science might come up with an explanation though!

badassbob, we are so used to the activity which has been going on for the whole of the nine years we have lived here, it doesn't bother us at all.

Do you have an industrial fan? Some research showed that people in a lab got alot of weird ghost-feelings and visual distortions, caused by the fan. On the right frequenty the liquid in the eyeball actually shakes or something around those lines.

I am sure there is some sort of a cool logic reason for it. Like toxic waste under your house or aliens that want to kidnap and probe your dog.
