      Thumbs down

Keeper has made me think of some more situations that I'd be interested to see responses to.

I can't be bothered with a poll, mainly because I want to see people's reasonings and explanations.

      1) Save your friend, or a great many other, unrelated lives?

      2) Save your closest relative, or a great many other, unrelated lives?

      3) Save a related baby, or a great many elderly, unrelated lives?

      4) Save an unrelated baby or ONE, single related elderly person?

      5) Save an unrelated baby or an unrelated handicapped baby?

      5) Save an unrelated young (18-30) person, or a related elderly person?

      6) Save an unrelated young person, or an unrelated elderly person?

      7) Save your mother or your father?

8 ) Save a sibling or your father?

      9) Save a sibling or your mother?

      10) Save your older (18+) sibling or your younger (under 18) sibling
      ?

It doesn't matter if you don't have [X] relative, just imagine you do.

The flaw in arguements like this, is its stuff that will never happen. I would probably save whoever I saw first or was in the biggest danger. If someone kidnapped both and told me to pick I would probably refuse to play around with them. Anyway I will answer but I really have no idea if I would do the same in real life. Theres a good chance I may not.

      1. At first I was tempted to the great many people but it really depends on how many people we are talking about. Anyway your friends are supposed to be able to count on you and so I would probably try and save them first. Then again like everything the circumstance matter and I may not.

      2. Same as 1.

      3. This one is kind of hard to decide. Theres to many factors to really get a clear idea.

      4. Probably the baby.

      5. Same as 4.

      6. Which ever I saw first. This really depends on the circumstance as well.

      7. Same as 6.

      8. Same as 6.

      9. Same as 6.

      10. Same as 6.

Hmm, well its really meant to be an unrealistic situation, purely about which you choose to live.

Lets say some psychotic person has decided to play a 'Saw' style game, on a grander scale and is forcing you to choose one, or they both die.

They're trapped in two boothes infront of you (Ok, so the one with the great number of people would be a booth the size of a city but never mind, its still conceptual&#33. The one which you don't pick will be instantly gassed (Yeah sick I know, but you can kill the psycho at the end&#33

Btw. your answer to 5 is confusing since they're both babies!

Ah, playing God. Man, I love ficion-roleplaying.

      1) Save your friend, or a great many other, unrelated lives?[/b]
Many others? I would save the others. I think... now. Maybe at the heat of the moment I woud be less rational and save my friend. In the long run, both logically and mentally it is better to save the people. I would feel egocentric otherwise.

      2) Save your closest relative, or a great many other, unrelated lives?[/b]
      Same as 1.

      3) Save a related baby, or a great many elderly, unrelated lives?[/b]
Fuck the baby. Babies don't know shit. As long as it is painless.

      4) Save an unrelated baby or ONE, single related elderly person?[/b]
The baby actually, because the old dude should or would be at peace with giving his life. I mean, if I am 80, I would love to die for world peace.

      5) Save an unrelated baby or an unrelated handicapped baby?[/b]
Handicapped people are fine, but with this ultimatum, it would be better for the parents to have a non-retarded baby.

      5) Save an unrelated young (18-30) person, or a related elderly person?[/b]
I should save the young... kind of depends on who is the better person. At 40 or 50 one can still do a great deal of good.
      6) Save an unrelated young person, or an unrelated elderly person?[/b]
      Young.

      7) Save your mother or your father?[/b]
lol! Hard question... hmmm......... Hmmm.... Kill em both? Not like I hate them, but I can choose, they both have better and lesser sides to them.

8 ) Save a sibling or your father?
      [/b]
Unrelated or what? I would save the kid if it was mine... otherwise... I think I would save me dad.

      9) Save a sibling or your mother?[/b]
      Same as 8.

      10) Save your older (18+) sibling or your younger (under 18) sibling[/u]?
It doesn't matter if you don't have [X] relative, just imagine you do.
      [/b]
Younger, unless it's a total asshat.

(Well tbh prob my friend but depends on how many people)

      2) Save your closest relative, or a great many other, unrelated lives?

(like number one prob my relative but it really depends on just how many people there are)

      3) Save a related baby, or a great many elderly, unrelated lives?

(the baby because the elderly people have had there run)

      4) Save an unrelated baby or ONE, single related elderly person?

(like number 3 prob the baby)

      5) Save an unrelated baby or an unrelated handicapped baby?

(not being trying to be meen but prob the non handicapped one)

      5) Save an unrelated young (18-30) person, or a related elderly person?

(depends on witch related elderly person)

      6) Save an unrelated young person, or an unrelated elderly person?

      (young person)

      1) Save your friend, or a great many other, unrelated lives?

      My friend.

      2) Save your closest relative, or a great many other, unrelated lives?

      My closest relative.

      3) Save a related baby, or a great many elderly, unrelated lives?

      Related baby.

      4) Save an unrelated baby or ONE, single related elderly person?

Unrelated baby, as I think the elderly relative would rather let the baby live than himself/herself.

      5) Save an unrelated baby or an unrelated handicapped baby?

If you mean a bodily handicapped baby, then I would save the "normal" baby. And if you mean a mentally handicapped baby, I would save the mentally handicapped baby rather than the "normal" baby.

      5) Save an unrelated young (18-30) person, or a related elderly person?

Unrelated young person. I believe the old relative would rather have a young person saved than himself if he could chose.

      6) Save an unrelated young person, or an unrelated elderly person?

      Young person.

There should be a 3rd option at every question: 'fuck them all and take the hot girl'. I wonder how many people would chose that option
