This constant stalemate i run into is getting old. This is partly my fault due to my defensive nature, but others are equally guilty. We get into a rut when we argue about the trivial facts of the overall topic. Probably because we post stuff that pisses eachother off, even though we have factual evidence to support our claims. Here, you can say what topics are most important to you without constantly being interrupted at each step.

Dont bother answering the points i make. To perserve the direction and purpose of this thread it is better i not talk to the people who will challange me. If you choose to use this thread to express what specific things are important to, i suggest you do the same. The idea is to deeply explain the parts you havent been able to do yet, in a place where nobody will draw you off track.

THE GOAL IS TO BE AS NEUTRAL AND FACT BASED AS POSSIBLE. Keep ALL generalizations out of here. This is all about YOU and YOUR personal views.

America is the centermost topic. Our global importance and interference draws a lot of attention and criticizm. I would also like to state that i have many of the qualities i am about to point out.

THINGS AMERICANS NEED TO WORK ON:

-we are very excitable. We rally as a nation easily, even though we constantly disagree between ourselves. Our lives are so empty, and we need that drama to entertain us. Our culture is overly self-centered

-we have a subconcious superiority complex. We may sometimes convey that America is the greatest, due to our global importance, but we never consciously think that we are better just because of where we were born.

-the average American didnt care about terrorism until 9/11. The average American didnt need to. Those who criticize us for our hasty involvement didnt care about terrorism either. This is all assuming that anybody cares.

-Americans can be very opinionated at times. We all feel our point is valid, because we have this fallacy that our opinion is worthfull. We want to be #1. We are stereotyped as rude, excitable people, but this site has shown me that it is not just us. We also know that being an American doesnt automatically make us more knowledgable.

-We cant elect a leader who doesnt swear his faith to the Christian god. Faith is slowly becoming a club, and our fast-pased livestyles make us very superficial. God doesnt play a big enough role in day to day life.

-Although our recent global intervention was necessary, we show our muscles far too carelessly.

FROM MY PERSPECTIVE:

-Americans are stereotyped too much. Anyone who has ever seen 2 different regions of the country knows that. The morals of the southern US is very different than those of the North or West coast. To say the words \"Americans think\" is wrong from there on out.

-America is a dog eat dog country, and it gets the best of us. The ones who slack off dont get the check. That makes you angry because it looks like we dont care about our people. Why should we? Nobody cut my parents any slack, and they came from the most humble of childhoods. They got jobs and paid for college. Having the government reinforce unemployment with a small amount of money doesnt work. I would rather have my overtime pay go into my wallet than to the govt. I am not assuming my audience is communist.

-Yes, we interfere in world affairs a whole lot, but most is helping the planet, improving relations, and quelling violence. Although it doesnt make military action OK, i think we have prevented more deaths than we have caused (as a superpower)

- Corporations are a positive world power, and they have proven to be a groundbreaking way to better a nation. Corporations sell easily available supplies at a low cost. They create MILLIONS of jobs worldwide. The higher-ups of these businesses are greedy, and they do influence our government officials. Dont jump to conclusions and think they would put America into a war for precious oil. Dont think corporate leaders get sexually excited from putting small store owners out of business.

-America is the most dominating phenomena in history. This does not assert that we are elite, but we found something that worked pretty damn well. Have we ever gotten credit for that?

-we are mostly good people. We just form views that make sense to us, exactly like the rest of the world. You think we are full of ourselves, when no harm is meant.

-being stereotyped as American swine just sounds like jealousy to an American. We really cant comprehend why you have such a negative stance on everything American.

THE WRAP UP:
There is a lot more than i know. I have only examined this from an American stance, which automatically makes me a little wrong. Everyone is a little wrong, and not realizing that creates a stalemate. I really just went through all that to explain why i promote many aspects of America.

This is the most civil way we can possibly do this. Now you can choose to do what i have done, or you can pick away at my post. The goal is to gain understanding as to why we think so differently.

Just make your points and leave this thread alone. Think deep before you write, and for gods sake dont force your view or offend anybody. I tried to stay as passive and neutral as possible.
