Well w/e your point is debatable but I won't delve further into hypothetical situations...
In what ways is America less democratic than it was 100 or 200 years ago? Do you even know what you are talking about? I doubt you have more than a vague knowledge of the culture and people of the United States, let alone knowledge of American politics.
