Reportedly, Russia sent columns of tanks and bombed bases in Dzhava, Georgia after Georgia launched a major military offensive to retake the breakaway South Ossetia this morning. Hundreds of civilians were killed. |

The beginning of World War 3. FINALLY! |

Interesting fact, but when World War I started they said exactly the same thing in the newspapers. |

Before this blows out of proportion. Dont believe everything the mass media says which is biased against russia in general. Here are some facts:South ossetia and Abkhazia was not part of Georgia before Stalin annexed the region.Georgia claimed the territories as their own, against the will of the locals and Russia of course.NATO in a bid to piss russia off and get Georgia on good terms, recognized it as georgian territory when it never actually was in reality. Most citizen in those regions are Ethnic Russians or have russian citizenship and are close to Russia in general. Georgian troops allegedly have slaughtered many of them. |

Ossetia would be a cool name for a newly founded sovereign state. |

By the way how did this happen? I heard Russia had some Warplanes in Georgian Airspace and Georgia launched a Missle Attack on them. If that's true then i have no doubt the US put Georgia up to it(America has been training Georgias military and been involved with them).Im a bit foggy on the details but i think Russia legally can use Georgian Airspace like the American use European Airspace on their air bases in Europe. The Russians have some sort of Peacekeeping force from the 90's over there. |

Yeah I really dont think Georgia stands a chance. I know they say size doesnt matter and all... but damn, you can fit at least a thousand Georgias into Russia, I mean Russia can literally swollow them whole!!! |

Most of Russia is desolate wastelands. |

I hate war, and this is terrible. But Georgia is clearly at fault for attacking South Ossetia first, giving Russia a reason to attack. I doubt the reason Russia is involved though is to protect their people in South Ossetia, I think its just an excuse so they can gain control of the oil pipeline that goes through Georgia and to increase their influence. Georgia thinks they can regain their lost territory because they will be backed by Nato, and they hope that Russia will back down, but I think Russia will keep fighting. So in the end, their both at fault. The people in Russia and Georgia should revolt against their imperialist governments. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Neither side is right. Putin and his puppet Medvedev just want more territory (or possibly just friendly territory, although I doubt it) in the region, and they are willing to wage war against a far smaller, far weaker nation in order to get it. Georgia is trying to prevent South Ossetia's secession, despite the will of most of its people to leave. The same thing happened with the western region of Abkhazia, which Georgia still doesn't recognize as independent, even though it is basically autonomous. Georgia has also been shelling the South Ossetian capital, Tshkinvali, causing many civilian casualties. This war is going to be terrible for all parties involved. |

Funny how the UN hasn't done shit. Typical for all the spectator-nations in the UN. Doesn't the UN exist to stop shit like this? I forsee words and no action. |

haha when you were away I forgot how stupid I am too. Thank you for donating your expert opinions. I really need a punk ass 16 year old like yourself to square my life away. Is there any way you could mail me some of your wisdom? Perhaps send it in a package? Well, scratch that. Your wisdom is too large to fit in any box made by humans. You now, you being alive so long and such. I mean, is there any way we can have a private conversation somewhere where you can fill me in on the truth? You could perhaps fill me in on the purpose of life? Maybe we could go out for cotton candy and you can point out things in my life that are cheap? I would be honored dude. It would be so fucking awesome dude! I could fill you in on the not-so-important parts of life, such as what it feels to have hair on your chest. Or maybe what its like to be out of mommy and daddy's home. I could give you the 101 on that thing called a "job", which is apparently a way to get that green paper shit that mommy would normally give you to purchase items, such as that food and other things you don't have to worry about. I could teach you how to survive a stubbed toe without putting Neosporin on it. I could wean you off the bottle and teach you how to tie your shoes. |
