You will look at the clock a lot more than you think. Isn't it funny how if you look at your watch for the time, then if someone asks you what the time is you have to look again because you subconsciously looked, but didn't take it in?

Well when you see these times like 1:11 it is a lot stranger than seeing 20:37 or something so rather then glance at the time, will actually look and think its weird hence remembering it.

So in answer to your question, it is more because of the habitual act of checking the time and you only consciously taking in the time when it is, as you say like 2:22 hence you feeling like this is the only time you look.

Make sense?

That would be the most logical conclusion, yes.

I find it funny when clocks say semetrical or all the same numbers. However, it says NOTHING. Who, what and WHY would want to 'communicate' to you through THAT? The fact of the matter is, that you just notice those 'cool' clock settings (2:22, 1:23, 6:66 -oops-) because they like more special so you pay more attention.

Holy crap!!! My clock says 3:57! The Midwayers are telling me to shoot some one.

Usually they talk to me with times such as 4:20 (time to get high), 6:40 (telling me that I'll be 40 years old in 6 years), 1:15 (reminding me that I ate breakfast once when I was 15), 3:26 (reminding me that I need to pick up 3 apples, 2 pears and 6 eggs at the store) and my favorite, 5:00 (telling me it's time to go home). Man, I wish they'd stop communicating with me by such cryptic, nonsensical means.

Seriously, stop being so paranoid. Why would mystical beings be sending "messages" that can't possibly be translated to mean anything except that it happens to be 11:11? Twice a day at that.

I have the same type of thing, except i always look at the clock when it says "9:11" or "11:09", and when its no where near those times i look at the clock when it says something like "1:17" (1+1+7= 9) and other strange numbers on the clock that deals with the numbers 9 and 11. I dont have any connection to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but still its a thing to take into consideration.

But even though we all want to think that because someone like me always looks at the clock at 9:11, i think AdamA said it best, that we all look at the clock probly 30 times in 30 minutes, and only really remember when we look at it at a certain time.

Its kinda like, when you watch a TV show that you are really into, and after you get to the first commercial your like, "woa, that whole time i was focusing on the TV, and i didnt look anywhere else, my eyes only saw the TV, and nothing else", and its just because all your subconsious mind was thinking about was the TV, and it didnt care to remember everything else that went on in your periferral.

This is a list of all the times that are "symmetrical" as you've given in your examples. Note that this list excludes times such as "11:22", which could also be called symmetrical. Also note that each of these times occurs twice a day. Factor in all the times you observe an asymmetrical time throughout the day and ignored because you were only paying attention to the times that you saw "symmetrical" times and you can see there isn't anything even remotely magical or even unusual happening.

In my own opinion, i think that everyone has a certain number that is shown to them more then the others. For me it 9 and 11, for you it is probably 2, and for youonlylive1cex, its 2:22.

The only numbers that i can think of that really goes for everyone, are number 11 for its spiritual connection, the number 13 (friday the 13th kinda thing) and of course 9/11 for its story.

What mark said is on-topic. And if you add all of the non-semetrical numbers that add up to be semetrical, such as 2:11, or 6:24, (2= 1+1 and 6 = 2+4), people tend to believe that something is after them. If you have all of those numbers, then of course you become somewhat skeptic.

Somewhat skeptical? Are you kidding? If there was any doubt that it was anything other than paranoia before examining just how many numbers could be taken to be symmetrical, then certainly it's gone now. Honestly, does it make any more sense to say that a mysterious entity has some important message for you, and the only way it can think to deliver it to you is to have you look at the clock when the numbers are symmetrical, while at the same time still allowing you to look at the clock when it isn't symmetrical?
