I had a C-section cause my mom had a c section with my brother, and there was a risk of danger of not having another one, there was also the risk that her nether regions might give me a disease.

Meanwhile I think incest is just gross. I don't know...I just think there are different kinds of love that people should have. =(.

You know, this might ruin the tragic love story idea thing I imagined might happen...siblings separated at birth...each has no idea the other exists...they meet as adults, feel a connection...and well, there's some sexual attraction added to that connection...maybe they even get married...married or not, they're going out awhile when one finds out that they're siblings. They've always felt like that connection they felt was a little weird but siblings?! And then it goes on like, does the one who finds out tell the other? What're they gonna do?

Oh, the drama

But if there's an innate lack of sexual attraction to such a close family member then I guess that scenario wouldn't happen.

Sure, we all find incest extremely disgusting. However, if condoms are used there is really no inherent harm so it should be legal for those few that want to do it.

Daeva makes a very good point too, the genetic disabilities that are passed on for the most part must be worse than the defects found in a first generation inbred.

Key word probably, personally I'd be squeamish Even with a second cousin.

If it's consentual, I have nothing against allowing it in general. Just because I wouldn't do it doesn't mean I should pass judgment on someone else's taste, if it doesn't hurt anyone. There might be legal ramifications with the kids and the gene pool and everything, but otherwise... Is there an argument that's better than "ewwww"?

I think incest in the immediate family is pretty distasteful. Cousins... kind of borderline. I'd never participate in something like that as it would completely creep me out.

On the other hand, I don't believe something should be illegal just because people find it distasteful. That's just one person's idealogy trumping another's, and I don't think anyone has a right to make that judgement call.

Getting tattoos over your entire body is considered creepy and gross to most people, but that's not illegal. Painting your house in yellow and pink stripes is not illegal (in most places).
