      For a graphics designer mac is the best choice hands down.

      Macs have a lot of specialized hardware to make media run better. These include embedded PDF chips and embedded H.264 chips.

      Not just graphics, most media is done on Mac. This includes video and music too. Final Cut Studio is made by Apple and only runs on Macs. It's one of the best video editors out there and very cheap (compared to other professional options, I think it's <$2000)

      but at the same time macs do have their weaknesses. They are amazing for media production but it really is overpriced because you have to buy their computers. Sure there computers may be stylish and stuff but the are not for me. I build my own computers so apple is out of the question. Because you have to buy from them. Of course I can always build my own computer using kalyway/leo4all mac compatible equipment(not hard at all actually) but thats not legal and only a select few (eg. guys who know what they are doing) can do that.

      my point exactly they are nonsensical and don't really do much of anthing. They are just like "Vista is cool".
