He only defended Obama in order not to get stigamtised as a Racist. That lady was bad for his reputation. He dissociated from her uncompromising, unintelligent, boldly racist statements to save his own political carreer. I'm guessing he probably agreed with her, but acted as if he opposed her view in order to not become the next American Political scandal.

A well-written paraphrased version of what I said.

There is a way to legally count your vote as a no-vote or a protest vote.

Around here, right when they give you the ballot you give it back and say something along the lines of "I refuse this ballot"

If enough people do this, BOOM goes the corrupt system.... hopefully.

Yes. Vote for Ron Paul, Bob Barr, or Ralph Nader. None of them matter, but you officially don't vote for McBush or Obama.

You could also write-in a vote for someone. I recommend either Clairity or Bob Barker.

If elected.. I would not serve! I don't want to have to try to sort out this mess! (it's too much of a "no win"/ "damned if you do.. damned if you don't" situation)

what else would he have said. really cmon guys. he wasn't defending obama he was just trying to down play the racist propaganda put out by his own campaign.

lets be real here. I'm not saying mcain isnt honorable im just saying that this doesn't make him honorable.

What is he going to say?

"I agree with my running mate palin in that Obama has terrorist ties and is an arab and that this country will be infiltrated by an arab and he will hand this country over to the terrorists"

      Thats what palin suggested!

Look its palin who said that "Obama cohorts with terrorists" so don't give him any credit. He wasn't gonna be like hey

"You should be scared. He will destroy this country and he is imoral and is the spawn of satan"

That's what a lot of his supporters want him to say. They say he's not doing enough to bring this kind of thing into the light. Of course they don't realize that most people with any sense don't give a crap.

I see a striking similarity between this and what Obama did with Reverend Wright. How does this make McCain worse than Obama, if what you say is even the truth?

The only big differences I see here are the fact that Wright was both Obama's friend and mentor, and that Wright was not only racist but extremely anti-American.

You watch too much fox news. 80% of Wright's church is comprised of white people.

So that suddenly makes what he said un-racist? I think you're missing the point. I was only arguing that McCain's situation was not dissimilar from Obama's, other than the fact that that was some random lady and Wright was Obama's friend and mentor.

Besides, I'm getting pretty sick of everyone acting as if they know. You really have no idea what's going on in McCain's mind. Where do you come off saying that he was just trying to save his own ass, instead of meaning what he said? And even if that's what he did, then I have every much as right to say that Obama tried to save his own ass by disassociating himself from both Wright and Ayers. In fact, he did. There, it's set in stone.

The irony of the Wright thing is this, Obama is not black he is mixed race. I pretty sure Obama does not share Wright views, ironic still that before this people were saying is Obama black enough.

Ayers has been debunk, and people are forgetting McCain role in Keeting five.

Back too the topic in hand. McCain proberly did that because he didn't go up in the polls, so he realized that going negative won't win him the election. So he trying to talk about the economy now, which I think he is also doomed to failure.

Having people say "Kill him" makes McCain seem racist and irrational. Compared too Obama being calm and collective.

I'm pretty sure Obama going to win big, as he is about 10 points ahead of McCain.

The planet Earth exhibits all of these properties and therefore can be considered alive and its own single organism by the scientific definition.

does the planet Earth reproduce, well no unless you count the moon.

He'd be even further ahead if half the county weren't racist bigots. I'm not saying that all republicans are racist bigots, but the ones that turn out to those rallies sure aren't helping their image at all.

Fair enough. However, If you had read my earlier post thoroughly...you'd of picked up the point where I said Obama would do whatever it takes to secure his seat in the white house just as McCain is doing now. That's where I come off.

Followers were also drawn simply by Mr. Wright’s appeal. Trinity has 8,500 members today, making it the largest American congregation in the United Church of Christ, a mostly white denomination known for the independence of its congregations and its willingness to experiment with traditional Protestant theology.

I heard this on CNN and the figures aren't in this article I just posted, however that's something. It's possible I misinterpreted what was being said though.
