Either way, communism or socialism or fascism is bad.
Capitalism isn't functioning properly, the markets aren't free.
Actually, fascism has nothing to do with corporations or big government. Fascist ideals are centered around a dictator (which wouldn't require big government) and national solidarity through relinquishment of personal goals for the betterment of the group. This means there are no corporations, only the state and its industry.
As for Obama leading one way and Bush another, Bush started the ball rolling on the stimulus/bailout/redistribution game. Really, your assumption just boils down to the false view of opposing parties. Obama is president and a democrat, so now we can all say "the democrats fixed things" or "the democrats ruined things" but really, Mccain and the republicans would have done just about exactly the same stuff. Political parties in this country exist to give you the feeling of having a choice.
I also have to ask, what is your definition of bad? Communism, socialism and even fascism are not inherently bad, only improperly utlized. In a feudal society, fascism is necessary. In a tribal society, communism is necessary. When people want to feel free without having to actually make decisions, democratic republics are the way to go, and when people want to feel as though they own what their effort creates even though they are slaves, capitalism works. Its all a matter of how the systems are applied.
