hmmmmm... I guess that rules out swine flu.
is there any real medical read that tells us how dangerous or how not dangerous this flu is?
I have so many mixed emotions over this
while I know one person has died in the US, it was a baby, and babies are always more vulnerable to anything
has any adult in the US died and do we know for certain what caused the deaths in Mexico?
my friend is from the Valley (texas border area), and tells me down there half the people coming into the med clinics to get checked, have swine flu. HALF.
its not being reported though, because they don't want to cause a scare. but my friend felt this is a serious virus that can kill you unless you take the medicine the doctors give you
I dont know what to think! how serious is it really?
One confirmed case in my city so far, a few others being tested. My sister sits next to the kid who had it and is showing symptoms.
Frankly, I'm happy. People are making too big an issue of this and getting way too scared over it. Its just another goddamn flu. They need a good whack on the head to prove it.
Are you retarded? (no offense to mentally disabled individuals)
That article says a man gave it to PIGS. Not pigs to humans. Also, of course you can get it from pigs if you are handling them i.e pig farmer that has infected pigs. How else would it have spread to humans in the first place?
However I enjoyed a comment from that page "
On top of everything else, now we have to worry about our police being knocked out by influenza!
Great."
HAHA Oh my god.
We are hosts of the Universiade that is in a month. All previous expected pandemics bypassed us but now we're more than sure to get it.
Why can't we ever get anything cool, like a POONdemic of 'GINE flu?
:(
That's not really the sickening part, really... the sickening part is the excessive level of arrogance and ignorance required to make such a statement without realising that you are just as responsible as everybody else.
The logical consequence of your philosophy is to commit suicide, so please, do us all a favour... and commit to that.
I'd rather stick around to see the fruits of my labor in 60 years from now and what my philosophical contributions to the world have achieved.
Nice quote. Edit won't save him(her?), now.
...is there something wrong with you?Quote:

I was responding to somebody who had just been enthusing about worldwide genocide, you dolt.
Same for you Jeff.
P.S. you're not a bloody moderator (thank God).
Well, in the case that the entire world gets infected with swine flu, there's really only one thing we can do...
REPENT! REPENT!
THE END IS NIGH!
REPENT! REPENT
WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!
What does hosting Universiade have to do with an increased likelihood of the swine flu not "passing you by" (whatever that means)?
No offence, just asking for clarification.
EDIT: Oh, you think that an athlete could be infected? Wouldn't that have been checked out before they sent them to compete? They have to get health exams done, you know...
I think Belgrade will be fine.
