I think he's trying to make a cryptic statement of sorts.
LOL In the Victorian bushfires I made a bet how many people would die too. I lost by about 2 people :(
Another game which is fitting. http://www.flasharcade.com/arcade-ga...eeze-game.html
God, some kids are getting tested in my county, and if they indeed have swine flu then schools getting shut down for one week minimum. I really don't want a week taken off of my summer break.
Seriously? That's just ridiculous, hundreds of times more people are dying in road accidents.
I heard Italy's burning all their pigs, which is even more bizarre, you can't even get the virus from pigs. The scientists are the ones who inform them what the new virus is and then they completely ignore the scientists when they tell them that you don't get it from pigs. Fucking morons.
I was going to purchase hand sanitizers for homeless people but when I went to the store there were no more hand sanitizers. I told someone else about this and they said it was probably because people are getting it to combat possible attacks from swine flu. What do you guys think? Have you all been buying hand sanitizers to avoid getting sick?
Wow... poor piggies!
I don't worry about hand sanitizers. I carry a container of hand wipes, soaked in (but not drenched in) 91% Isopropyl Alcohol with me at all times. And I've done that for about a decade now.
Hand sanitizers do not work against viruses, they only work against bacteria.
You are not protecting yourself in the least by using these.
I felt that you should know, and not give yourself a false sense of security.
All these people scurrying to buy hand sanitizer to ward off a virus with are complete idiots.
Alcohol can inactivate viruses, so its not a completely bad idea…
But to inactivate swine flu, you must use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
Keep that in mind. Many hand sanitizers don’t contain that high of a percentage.
Can somebody enlighten me about swine flu?
What way does it transmit itself?
Is it safe to eat pigs?
Missed the beginning of all that and now can't get any such info on the news.
If they continue killing pigs, our pig export is gonna boom once this is over.
Do you not understand simple, pre-school grade story telling techniques?
I explained it in my po.... Fuck it
I agree hand sanitizer is useless. Alcohol wiped are ok. But in all honesty you would only need to wipe your hands before you eat. And even then I'd rather just go to a bathroom and use soap and water. Alcohol dries your skin out and therefore the virus can enter easily if it gets on your hands. So if you're gonna go that route, get moisturiser too.Quote:

Yeah sorry, it was Egypt I was thinking about. Apparently it's because the country is controlled by the Muslims and only Christians own pigs. Wonderful.Quote:
Even worse, Egypt has ordered the slaughter of ALL 300.000 pigs in the nation. Pig holocaust - for no reason at all.
I thought it was Israel?
...
and, No. It won't. But it might make your night more interesting if you walk into a police station smelling like that and claim that you haven't had a drop.
...
and, Yes, it's safe to eat pigs. Or so says authority. But I don't trust them.
Hey people don't be greedy, share some info.
What way does it transmit itself?
Is it safe to eat pigs?
It's human to human, via air, contact, etc. No, you can't get it from pork.
It was the relevant authorities who warned you about swine flu in the first place.Quote:

For God's sake, whatever happened to common bloody sense?
So it's exactly like normal flu, via air?
Or by saying "from contact" you mean that you have to wash your hands before putting food in your mouth, otherwise you'll be infected through food?
Why is that, can the virus be "in" food?
No, you're right. Man, screw the media. I've been eating pork since this crap popped up and I feel fine. Even if Pig flu does get me, it's nothing that can't be fought over a few days. I've never had the regular flu, but this just looks like a nasty cold. Doesn't it only kill those with weak immune systems or something?
Yes, like normal flu.Quote:

And no, why would you get it from food? You get it from contact with other people, or contact with materials which have had contact with other people, etc.
But the virus seems to be slowing anyway, and it also seems quite harmless, so don't worry about it.
Yeah, so long as it's hot enough. Not that the virus is in the food in the first place, of course.Quote:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the intense heat from cooking also destroy the viruses?
Maybe listen to the media before screwing them?Quote:

People with strong immune systems are the ones who are worst affected, but nobody with decent medical healthcare has died of it anyway. It's no worse than normal flu, if that.
I've listened. And listened...and listened some more. I guess I'm just tired of hearing it like it's Armageddon. People in my state have been sending their kids to school with masks on an everything. Then the school systems get freaked because they think the kids have it. Luckily no schools have closed, but they've been killing trees to get the word out when all it would take is an automated robocall. I guess with these kinds of things first impressions last a long time...
Actually you're wrong:
