Thread: Collapse of the U.S. economy.

I'm not an economist so a lot this stuff i don't understand.

Basically, from what I understand, their printing too much money which devalues the dollar. People are losing their jobs, and people are losing their houses because they can't pay the mortgage.

So Obama is trying to print more money to pay back other country's, cause we're in huge debt...I think they said we owe like 3 trillion or something like that? If your printing your own money..why do you owe someone else? I obviously know you can't put new money in the cycle and everything balances out.

I've heard people in California are not getting their money back for their tax returns. The government is basically giving them an "I.O.U.", delaying the people's money.

Is it just me or is this country going completely broke. People are saying that we are headed for a complete collapse and into a depression worse than the one in 1929.

My mother wants to rent a new house ( you know? move? )...i told her it wasn't such a good idea because the economy is so fucked up. I was discussing this with my cousin last night, she said now would be the best time to rent a house..before shit gets worse. My mother owns the house she is at now, so basically she was thinking of renting the house out to someone she knows, but with the way things are going now, I think she should just stay at the house because if SHTF, she can't lose the house and at least won't be homeless.
