Isn't there a ton of mercury in Swordfish? People still eat it anyways. I suppose it's fine in moderation as in not eating six servings a day. |

Supposedly, there is quite a lot of mercury in in tunafish, which sucks since I love the stuff, and it's a really good, lean source of protein. |

The main risks are birth defects (for pregnant women) and retardation/dementia, so it just depends on how much you value your intelligence relative to tasty sammiches. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
I eat a tuna sandwich like everyday (as its the only good thing that they serve at my school) and I'm not crazy yet. |

hahhaa... my hubby seriously worries about this. He eats a package of albacore tuna w/ crackers and smothered in relish Monday-Friday and has for many years. |

Light tuna has less mercury then albacore. Also, the omega-3's in tuna more then offset the brain damage. The quantity of omega-3's you get from eating a serving a day raises your IQ by an avererage of 3.3 points. The mercury contained in it lowers it by 1.1 points. Thats a net gain of 2.2 points. Tuna is good. Salmon is better. |
