All I know is that regardless of how it goes down, I'm glad that I can survive in the woods. Being at least a semi wild human has it's perks. I'm highly suspicious of any plan to depopulate the planet but given our dependence on resources that are running out and our unwillingness to find alternate means of energy production, It seems that the prudent thing is to learn how to live in the absence of civilization. Once there is one world government under democratic control, we can relax. Until then, my feeling is that things are just gonna get more dangerous. I'm drunk so I'll back any of that up with a reasoned debate later.
This is why survivalism is very important. Although, I do think that we will have enough oil and fossil fuels for a good while.

Yea stock up on food, because when the unemployment rate gets to a certain limit, I see a mass of people looting,, rioting..after martial law comes in, tear gas, flashbang, mowing down large crowds with machine gun fire, hulling them off to the FEMA camps. It's best to stay in the house when all this goes down.
I seriously doubt that they would come in to people's houses, their strategy seems to draw us out onto the streets.
Theres a good possibility there will be a world war 3. I read somewhere their trying to push China into a war or it might have been Israel? Whoever it's with, the excuse will be behind the so called "war on terrorism".
If you can sustain without the government, that's the best weapon against them. If you can sustain until everything cools down, until they have their new currency and new government like PhilosopherStoned said, we can relax pretty much. I guess whoever is left they'll bring them in, and V-Chip them to be slaves...whoever gets caught.

This may have environmental benefits. But damn, adding a carbon tax on TOP of a gas cost? This is a little extreme. I doubt, taxpayers will get it back...ffs Californians are basically getting i.o.u.s for their income tax returns now.
If gas consumption was reduced by 80%, wouldn't they need to rise the carbon tax to maintain their revenue stream? Can you imagine paying $3,000 or more, to fill up your gas tank?!

Now the cities would be ok, because there is still public transportation ( unless they shut that down..then our only transportation will be FEMA trains..LOL, can you say slavery? ..no i'm just kidding :) ), but imagine the people that live in rural area, where they depend on their vehicles. They'll be hanging by the throat.
Did you know their also taxing people to stay in jail? In my area, their charging like a $1 a day..and if you don't have it, it comes from your canteen.
What we used to say back in early 2000 is coming true. There's only going to be two types of people in the new world. Poor people, and Rich people.
I just see all of this leading straight down to two things, hyperinflation and eventually civil unrest.
If they go bankrupt on our debt, we become a third world country;

you'll have plenty of time to play games, even during 2010. I think we won't start seeing any signs of anarchy to maybe mid to late 2010, possibly 2011, when hyperinflation kicks in ( which might be in 2 years, might be at the end of this year ). I'm no economist though and I really can't be sure. I think CBS said we'll see hyperinflation in the next 5 to 10 years, but plenty of us think it'll be way sooner than that.Quote:

Personally, I do buy into the idea that there is more to ancient civilization than we know. For some reason you seem to correlate the ancient people being more technologically advanced than we know with them being very intelligent. Therefore, they are correct about 2012 being the doomsday and therefore it must be the government blah blah blah.

No ancient civilization performed brain surgery. They did perform skull surgery. I'm not in the mood to research it and don't know off the top of my head, but it has something to do with a condition where pressure builds up in the head. They would drill a hole through the skull to relieve the pressure. I believe that skulls showing the surgery have been found in Russia as well, though I could be wrong. That I know off, all the skulls that have been found were healed indicating that the patient lived for a good time after the surgery.Quote:
