      Figured I'd ask educated people.

I really don't know what 'the sexualisation of society' is supposed to refer to.

More porn, more pre-marital sex, homosexuality = legal, widespread lewdness basically.

Oh okay. I'm mostly for sexual liberties. I view religions generally as absurd constructs so I don't see why marriage, which is a religious ceremony, should dictate sexual relations. I think you should be able to sleep with whoever you want, conduct your relations however you want, and I have no problem with homosexuality.

Not sure about porn though. I think it can be exploitative and suggests a misogynist mindset to me...

Promoting sexual activity is counterintuitive to maintaining a stable population,
even with protection. Everyone should be free to make their own decisions, but
I'd favor moderation over excess. A real life experience that illustrates my
feelings towards this would be on the day I was on a bus when a woman got on
tailed by 7 children. Or when I see pregnant teenage girls about. Or a 20 year
old with three kids already. The ethnic group that these people all belonged to
are experiencing a sort of baby boom here in southern California, and it may
serve as an appropriate example of what may happen with a larger population.

Changing the marriage laws is different. Whatever. Going out of our way to tell
everyone that they should have sex as much as they want, however, is not
conducive to a sustainable civilization. People already will engage in sexual
activities when they really want to.

You mean to the point where 14 year old are having sex? And not even like in the old days where you would get married at 14, but were you are single and wild and then get pregnant as a 15 year old, drop out of school and move back in with your parents and raise a baby instead of living your own life.

Going out of the way is bad, yes. But there's nothing wrong with it not being taboo anymore.
198.726% of people will not realize that this percentage is impossible given what we are measuring. If you enjoy eating Monterey Jack cheese, put this in your sig and add 3^4i to the percentage listed.

I don't see why you can't just use protection myself. Sexual liberation is a different issue from population growth IMO.

If you sleep with anyone while having a girl or boyfriend I'm pretty sure there not going to like that if you with someone you should be faithfull, I mean how can you love someone when you sleep with other people all the time.

You're listing apples and oranges here. For instance, how does "homosexuality = legal" figure into the same category as "more lewdness"?

Porn, premarital sex, and homosexuality are all pretty awesome things IMO.

I don't know about other countries, but American has a strange love-hate relationship with sex. Puritanical values mixed with unchecked crudeness. Now that it's gotten to the point that the Disney channel is trying to sell sex to children with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers under a thin veil of chastity-worship, and Stephanie Meyer's trying to sell sex to preteens under a thin veil of ultra-virgin Mormon vampires, that's when things get out of hand. And if I see one more six year old girl in a miniskirt and see-through plastic stripper heels I'm going to have to choke a bitch. I guess it's the sexualization of children that really disturbs me. America is like a pedo-wonderland, and it's all because of repressed sexuality.

Get rid of the idea that sex is bad = less over-sexualization, less sex problems.
      I agree wholeheartedly.

And actually, it has been shown that the more sex education an area gets, the less teen pregnancies there are there.

I think that sexual repression is responsible for a lot of sexual perversion, actually. Like Jeffrey Dahmer. He probably could've been a nice, well-adjusted gay boy, but no. His family had to be all fundamentalist (I know... his dad was my substitute science teacher one time, and he was a nice guy, but an XTREME creationist... but that's another story). He was never taught that his sexuality could be expressed in a healthy way, so he ended up delving deeper and deeper into perversion until he ended up raping and killing men.

Haha. Yeah. He's a substitute teacher in the area where I went to high school. It was kind of creepy actually because he looks like a really old, shriveled version of Jeffrey Dahmer. One time in his class my friend jokingly made some kind of comment to the effect of "I eat people." She'd forgotten that he was in the room lolz.

But yeah, he was my substitute chemistry teacher almost all year, because the regular teacher was on maternity leave. He seemed okay, though, despite his fundamentalist values and serial killer son. He and his wife apparently save kittens in their free time...
