Thread: Obama didn't bow?

I believe for diplomatic reasons Obama has ulterior motives for his deep bow, otherwise I don't think he would have bowed that deeply.

You don't understand. If the japanese emperor is anything like the queen of Denmark, then the way Obama treats him doesn't matter. You don't earn a country's respect by treating their royalties well.

Japan might be different than Denmark. They still love the Emperor.

Do not forget that The U.S.A. was the only country that used nuclear bombs on another country and that country was Japan, and since then we have forbidded them from having a military. I doubt the message sent is that the U.S. is a bunch of pussies who can't fight back. I think the message was more meant to be, "Sorry that we run around bullying all the other countries and I am sorry we nuked you. There isn't much else I can do to apologize enough to you and your people so I will bow."
