From your country's point of view? As in, something your country would want to happen, like kicking the rest of the Palestinians out? |

So I am in a politics class and we got handed out countries, in which I received Israel. What we are supposed to do is write an imaginary UN Resolution from our country's point of view and the class will either pass or veto the resolution. |

Playing on what Invader said, do something really controversial; but realistic enough that you're able to justify it from your country's POV. |

The thing is, that I get points based off of whether the class passes it. Yes, Invader, it is something that my country would like to happen but obviously it needs to be something that the international body would accept. I'm having the most trouble thinking of something that hasn't already been passed in the UN... |

Anti-Blasphemy laws are the big thing right now. Ireland just past a law, and a number of middle eastern countries are petitioning the UN to make it illegal to criticize Islam. You might be able to use that in some way. |

That would be interesting, but I think the whole class would basically be against it. I was thinking maybe something simple like the jurisdiction to be able to strike back against any nations or terrorist organizations that attack, but tbh I don't know if there is already something like that or if that is something that wouldn't work? |

What I would do, is suggest an unimportant nonbinding resolution, than most people will agree on because there is no reason not to. Like a resolution condemning something as being bad. |

What I have decided to do is to condemn Iran for it's development of nuclear technology. Thanks guys. |

I have an idea, and it is what I have dreamed of for the region for many years. The U.N. decides that the land in question cannot fairly be considered a Jewish state or a Palestinian state and overrules its 1948 decision because it was so improper, so the U.N. orders that the land be run by a representative government of some type with a constitution which does not involve the domination of any religious group or race. It has to be a land of equality with a secular government that allows religious freedom for all. Anybody who initiates violence over the new situation goes to prison for a really long time. |

You are dreaming right now.
Well he can't propose anything like that, since his job isn't to do what is fair or right, but to do whats in the best interest of his country. Realistically israel would never agree to that. |
