(((((hugs))))) Ugh, I know exactly what you mean... except my gas refuses to pass and I have the pain for hours upon hours.
For me, one of the triggers is stress. Whenever I have to travel, I notice it flairs up a whole lot more. I take gas-x which sometimes helps.
DON'T chew gum. For me, it makes me much more likely to have a flair up.
Also, I have gal stones and deuodenitis which have been untreated since 1997 or so. Personal research points toward the flare ups being related to a gal bladder attack.
I used to fight my findings, telling myself I can fart just fine. I just can't belch. But if a galstone could block one area, why not the other lol
If it persists or gets worse, definitely see a DR. If it's not that bad, look up information on nutrition for a bad gal bladder and take some of their suggestions (which includes, no fatty, greasy or gas-inducing foods like beans and broccoli etc etc).
Hope you find relief.
