A trusted reality-check.. ?!

Hi all; I'm new to this forum, but i'm not new to the dream issue i guess. And i'm really happy to find this "active" forum. I have a question please. Yesterday, i've started to make a dream journal. While reading about the idea of dream journal/diary, i read that one of its seide effects, is a "False awakening" -- Dream within a dream. This idea makes me a bit nervous. I guess i didnt reach it. But i'm a but afraid to reach and get confused whether i'm in a dream or in reality. So, is there a trusted way to check the reality without any possible error? Because i really need to make the dream journal.. But at the same time, i dont want to get confused about my reality and lose the sense of reality and then getting insane. I remember here Cob's wife in the inception movie when she lost the sense of reality. I hope you've got what i mean. Thnx a lot. Best wishes. Hadeka.

Pinch your nose then try to break through it. If you are able to breathe you are still in a dream. If you can't breathe you are in reality. Sometimes this fails, so you should do it 2-3 times to make sure your body isn't tricking you. Another good one is to try and push your finger through your palm on the other hand. Try this 3 times as well. It's good to perform reality checks when you wake up to alleviate false awakenings. Do reality checks when you see your dream-sign (if you have one) to help with MILD and DILDs.
