      Nonsensical absurdities of the Morn?

It seems that when I wake up in the morning (usually when hitting the alarm) that I have completely nonsensical, or seemingly so, Hypnagogia/dream pieces. I will hit my alarm button like second nature, but for some reason it involves something that makes sense while I'm asleep, but confuses me beyond belief when I awake fully.

Now, this is one of those things that is very difficult to explain, but if you've experienced it, you'll know immediately.

For example... This morning I was hitting my alarm, but it had something to do with pants. Apparently I had so many pairs of pants left until I was out of pants, and I had to wake up. They were folded on my nightstand and I was hitting them off (with the alarm.)

Another morning I had a strange black hole that was emitting giant bright rays of burning white light every time I hit my alarm. It made complete sense while in the transitional state, but absolutely none once I awoke. This happens frequently, too.

Anyone else experience these early-morning absurdities?

This happens to me too. It's often either like that when I wake up (mostly because the alarm almost always goes of during a dream), or the alarm scares the hell out of me and I turn it off instantly with a high pulse (which is a very unpleasant way to wake up - but at least you're quite awake afterwards).

I actually woke up with a jolt this morning, I was having a suspenseful dream and my alarm frightened me.

Pretty sure yesterday I had some strange HH about playing poker... and there were poker chips surrounding me.

I get this quite often the first few seconds after waking up.
It usually happens if right after waking up due to the alarm clock, I try to do any thinking, like "what do I have to do once I get up".
The results of this are often very random.
"I have to mute the radio in my car to turn of the alarm clock next to my bed so I don't forget to bring my laptop to school, which I will reach by getting my socks from my drawer"
This is sometimes accompanied by imagery involving the things in question, usually in a nonsensical way.

After a few seconds I realize how random that thought process was.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

one morning my father woke me up for school after i'd hit snooze on my alarm. i held a short conversation with him about how he "shouldn't worry because i'd set the water to wake me up"
