      Recurring Dreams and other wonderings...

What exactly does it mean when you have recurring dreams? I've had about 3 different recurring dreams that I can remember. One only recurred twice and the others recurred 3-5 times. The thing is, when they recur it's always a dream that was either scary or foreboding and got less scary/was turned into something more silly the more times I had it. Can anyone tell me what that would mean?

I'm also wondering what it means when you're looking for someone. I always seem to have dreams where I'm looking for someone. Sometimes it's a specific person from my real life and other times it's just a non specific type of person and I usually can never find either of these. I think I know what it means because it's very literal but I'm wondering if there's any sort of generalized thing people know about this?

I'm also wondering, is it common for people to either 1. not be them self in a dream and 2. Be watching things happen instead of being a part of them/being a part and watching within one dream.

I have had many dreams in which I'm not myself. In fact it seems the majority of my dreams I'm not "me". I act as though I were a different person. I have also had what I like to call movie dreams, in which you have no direct role and are only observing what's going on.

It all depends on what the dream was like and who you are. It is like a poem when you have to analyze it and figure out the hidden meaning but in this case only you can figure it out because its your brain, not mine. Looking for someone could be an interpretation of how something is missing from your life, again it all depends on who you are. Finally 1 and 2 are both pretty common.
