All I can suggest is that you encourage her to practice lucid dreaming. At the very least, she'll be able to minimize the severity/number of nightmares she has. |

So my girlfriend is almost 18 years old and she has been through some horrible things in her life, her parents and older brother used to beat her and then she ran away and all this stuff and finally ended up in foster care about 9 months ago. I have been with her for just over 2 months now and she has a bad dream every night of her life as long as she can remember. Sometimes she says they start out good, but then they go bad. |

I find it strange that you actually found blood on your hands. I don't believe that she could cause that to happen from her just having a violent dream. So, something must have happened for you to get blood on your hands. I might be a little worried about that. Dreams don't tell the future, because they're all in your mind. That would mean that you're telling the future and nobody has the power to do that. It's just coincidence. I had a dream a year ago that my girlfriend would be pregnant and she turned out pregnant. Only a coincidence can explain this. It could even be explained by the fact that I knew we had unprotected, drunk sex. |

Yeah, I would encourage her to try and maybe practice lucid dreaming. Or just anything that helps her to realise that they're just dreams, and can't harm her. Of course the best thing you can do is just try to be there for her and assure her that all that matters is what's currently happening and that it's all just in the past. Unfortunately I can't really give any other advice, but I hope she feels better. |

Alright thanks guys, I'll have her practice that, and that was the part that scared me too because I was like "Wtf?" when I woke up and looked at my hands then she told me about the dream and I was like... holy shit. |

Yeah, it's probably just best to be there for her whenever she needs you. |
