"Alien" dream elements? (Partly @ The Cusp)

A brief thought, stemming from my dream last night:

I was fiddling with those old Crush Gear toys, sending them around an arena; and a man was talking about a mysterious feature on a Futurama DVD where you could select one of Fry's posters. It made a strange noise and none of the DVD staff knew about it. As he talked about the strange noise the radio emitted a horrible screech (and it was horrible. It didn't belong in the dream. Thinking about it now I'd almost relate it to Castaneda's accounts of inorganic beings, for that's what it felt like. An inorganic poking into my dream.) which hurt my ears. Then it changed to play Dave Holland.
Ignoring any explanations people might have (because that's a topic for BD, not here) has anybody else experienced this sort of wrongness about a dream or a part of a dream before?

The Cusp, I single you out because of a topic I recall reading about your platonic solid dreams with their awful slowness. That is the kind of wrongness I am thinking about. If you see this do you have anything more on them?

I once walked out of a door into this Salvador Dali-esque blasted wasteland with half a woman there, just staring intently at me. By 'half' I mean 'split down the centerline'. And I've had dreams where there's no DCs, no real scenery (just a vast, undulating void) but there is really damn good music.

Is that what you mean by alien? Surreal to a degree excessive even in dreams?

Not exactly, no; although those are good ones. I'm admittedly unsure how to articulate it beyond your definition though. More along the lines of -feeling- weird, even though the dream's weird itself - far enough outside the main experience of the dream that it seems rather jarring.
