      Help with a nightmare, please?

I'll try to abbreviate it: I'm swimming in the ocean at night, the water and sky are very dark and there are massive fish swimming around me. In the middle of the ocean there is a house and an obscured woman (i couldn't make out the details of her face) helped me in. I don't remember what happened for a while, then I'm further inside the house being held on my knees by two people, and I'm yelling angrily at a person (I say "person" because it wasn't a man or woman, it's face constantly changed). I kept yelling "I wouldn't save your soul if my own soul depended on it!". I was brought there to bless the soul of that person before they died, as if I were a priest. The person was very upset and violent over my answer. I tried to leave the house again but I couldn't see the shore anymore and the fish in the water were extremely violent. Also, black pearls (or at least they looked like it) were floating in the water.

I'm not very religious and I didn't recognize anyone in the dream. Very confused

Well remember that dreams really dont mean anything, there just the randomness of your mind put together creating scenarios. So dont worry dreams arent ways of telling your future or anything.
To become lucid during a nightmare you just need to practice awareness to notice the little off factors.
Practice this technique its great http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/all-da...3/#post1628862

@rudedudeowns - Erm that depends on the individual and the dream. I agree they cant tell the future, but they sure as can guess at it, and provide valuable insight into your waking life.
Whilst some dreams are random and mean nothing, it doesnt mean they all do. It mostly comes down to your interpretation of it, you are the best interpreter of your own dreams, therefore if it you cant make much sense of it, then there isnt much sense to be made. That's my opinion though.

Sounds to me as if your fear may have distorted the real meaning of the experience. If a woman helped you into the house perhaps she was an ally. She might have needed your help in blessing someone who was in torment or was ready to die. It's easy to get fearful out in a dark ocean, but I believe there was something significant there for you.
