Thread: [QUESTION] Help me understand this girl that keeps popping into my dreams

Ok first post here and dont know much about dreams but i really cannot understand whats happening.

I had a dream today where i was in a bar in another country with my friend and my family members celebrating something (cant remember). Lets just say these were the main characters of the dream.

I cant remember much of the interactions we had during the time i was dreaming but there was one part that i remember very well, i was at the bar drinking and when i look toward the dancefloor i see random people dancing. It wasnt until i saw one girl that i know i have either met or seen before, i had no interaction with her and she had looked back at me and squeezed out a little smile but then i just continued on with my dream.

Fast forward to waking up, i had been thinking about the dream and that it felt so real like i could almost live it and control it (not sure what that means) but then i started thinking about this girl and who she was, had i met her before? Im not sure if i am correct when i say this but i started thinking about who are the random people in the background of our dreams, lets call them ""extras"" much like extras on a movie set to fill out the scene, you have no interaction with them but you know they are there.

So i started thinking well these all cant be random people, i have to have seen them or met in my life whether it be when i was really young or even at the age i am now, much like in the movie inception i started thinking they were a projection of my sub-concious... (not sure if thats correct at all just what i was thinking).

But then i kept remembering that i have had dreams where this girl made a appearance before, like ALOT of dreams.. mainly all of them. I dont ever talk to her or ever really take much notice and she is never a main character but she is always there, much like when in real life you e.g at a bar and scanning the room of people, she will be one of those random faces you see. And this happens all the time in my dreams, for example i remember having a dream where i was in a supermarket doing something and she was there shopping and we smiled at eachother. and this has happened in pretty much all my dreams.. just random quick interaction that is not involved in the main theme of the dream.


While im dreaming it doesnt occur to me who she is or "hey i know you" or anything like i have seen her before, its not until i wake up that i start to think hey wtf who is she i have seen her so many times... and if it helps in the dream i am VERY attracted to her, and it seems she is to me aswell, everytime we see eachother its like one of those "love at first sight" (even tho i dont believe in that) moments you see in the movies where everything stops for a few seconds and we just hold a constant gaze.. i am really intruiged as too what this means and who she is... i dont understand much about dreams and if anyone can help it would be much appreciated, sorry for the long wall of text but its a lot to really explain and anyone who has read all of it i would love your input.
