      My retainer is making me eat weird stuff

      I have had 2 dreams recently where I was eating something strange.

      the first one I was chewing on 1/4 inch steel cables and in the second one, I was eating dead branches. the worst part is that both felt so real.

      at first I didn't think much of it, but today I thought "what if this eating of weird stuff was because of my retainer?"

      I though this because the part of the mouth that I was chewing with in both dreams is the same area that the metal in my retainer has the most contact with my tongue.

      Any thoughts or similar experiences?

      Yeah, I have a mouth guard, and I had a dream I was eating fried scallops and oysters on the half shell, and the oyster wouldn't come off the shell. I'm pretty sure the shape of the mouth guard and how it came into contact with my tongue (along with the fact that I was having indigestion from eating pizza with garlic immediately before I fell asleep) was the factor in the dream.
