Strangs lucid dreams with sleep paralysis...? Not really sure actually.

Ok, so... last night... I stayed up till 6 or so in the morn. When I went to sleep, I would lie down for a few minutes, and then i would enter a strange state of sleep paralysis where... i had my thought and stuff but I couldn't move at all. This happened a few times... i had a tough time thinking straight and I was only about.. 99 percent sure of what was happening... by the second time, I had been throwing around the idea of lucid dreams... so, when I entered this state again, I just started to think about lucid dreams to myself. I literally just said this: lucid dreams over and over... but, for some reason, something scared me a bit and I awoke... it was so weird...All I know though, is that I was in some pretty deep paralysis because I really couldn't move AT ALL. I am staying up late tonight again to try to replicate this experiance. If anyone can shed some light on this... I'm not really sure what to think... I think that... I woke as the vibrations started... I could be wrong but... I think. Sorry for my HORRIBLE grammar and spelling... Anyway, let me know what you think. Also, If I do get into this state again, what should I do once there? Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for replying!

My next goal: a LD that lasts more than a minute...
Man, my first one though... what an experience.

What you are experiencing is normal for someone in sleep paralysis. During this state you have a feeling of heaviness and are unable to move. Also, you are not 100% awake and aware, so you may not be thinking as clearly as when you are completely awake. You may experience hypnogogic hallucinations in this state also where you may see or hear things that are not really there. Good job on using this state to try to induce a lucid, but next time try to visualize a dream you want to enter in great detail, using all 5 senses. Let the imadrey engulf you and you will be lucid in that dream! You can also can try to induce sleep paralysis through the WILD(wake induced lucid dreaming) method. Good luck!

Before i knew what SP was it used to scare the living fuck outta me but now SP fears me....It's my fav way to gain Lucid Dreaming because i don't have to do a reality check or convince myself that im dreaming because i leave my bed knowing exactly whats going on,when it happens to you again just visualize yourself floating out of bed without giving it to much thought and you should be Lucid in your own house, then you can walk outside and do whatever you want, just remember to be confident

It sounds like you almost had a successful WILD. Sleep paralysis is an awesome gateway to lucid dreams. You were very close. Try to remember what everything felt like, so you can make it your goal when you WILD.
