Dream recall triggers?

lately i have been waking up not remembering any dreams ,but later when i am having breakfast i might do something related to the dream and immediately remember everything for example 2 days a go i had my first lucid dream but i only remembered it 1 hour later when i did a reality check then this morning i started thinking about the new school i use happen to be going to and i immediately remembered the dream about going to this new school, is this normal because i have never done it before?

This happens to me a lot, especially when I right a dream down in my dream journal, post it, re-read it, then realize I left out a dream I didn't remember then.

I love when I write down one dream and carry on with my day, then see an object that was in a other dream and instantly remember a whole new dream. The best feeling haha.
