Thread: Reoccuring person in my dreams

For quite as long as I can remember I've been having reoccuring dreams of the same person I went to school with.
The scenarios or places are sometimes different. Sometimes we are here in my town and other times we are in other places. Sometimes I dream we are in a relationship (most that I can remember we are working to being in a relationship or in one)

I havent seen him in 6 years and I don't know anyone who looks like him. We also had no close connection. I only went to school with him and we took two classes together. There was nothing deep between us but I dream of him every 1-3 months. Sometimes I dream of him every month and then for a few months I don't.

It isn't that it bugs me but what bugs me is that we had no connection yet I dream of him. I didn't like him and wasn't even attracted to him? I am married now and my hubby doesn't even look like him so there is no way that I've had anything to trigger the thought of him in my dreams.

Is there any meaning to this at all besides what I've read that I probably need therapy (which i think is ridiculous)?

To me personally, it seems completely normal. He could just be a dream character that symbolizes your old school. Or he could be just another recurring dream character. I myself keep dreaming of some people I'm not really close to, or people I don't really know well and wouldn't take a second look at irl. But they manage to find their way in my dreams nevertheless. I think that the part where you dream about having or creating a relationship with him could be a manifestation of something in real life where you are trying to create a connection with someone, and not necessarily that guy in the dream.

That's my two cents. I hope that gives you a bit of insight

If you're lucid in any of these dreams, why not try to remember to ask him what he represents?

nope... never think of him, EXCEPT after I dream of him of course lol

Ok this I can definitely try... I have actually never even thought to ask maybe why I keep dreaming of him.

Usually I never say anything in the dreams when he is in them, now that I think of it...
