Always enter the same dream world

      Hi everybody

One thing I experience is always being in the same Dream World. When I dream I always find myself in the same world as I did in my last dream. There's a small city and all the buildings are the same, there's a forest, a field and I could go on. I would be able to draw a map of this dream world and all my dreams takes place in this map. The world is a mix of all the places I've ever seen. Fx there is a walking street where all the shops I've ever been in are. Because of that it does not seem like the real world, but in a way it seems like my own world, since it's made out of all the things that are most important to me.

Is this a part of lucid dreaming? I remember that in "Inception" one of the reality checks is to try to remember how you got to the place where you are, and if you don't know how you got there, you're dreaming. Is that a fact? Because I often find myself taking the bus, walking, bicycling to get to a place in my dream world.

      Thank you for your help

That is interesting! One RC consistis of think back of your previous actions and thinking about how you got to the place where you are at. Since dreams are normally crazy it wouldn't make sense, so that would conclude that you are dreaming.

Wow that's pretty cool. You should definitely draw that map! Many people are even trying to do something like that — create a dream "base" they can constantly go back to.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Yeah, I'm one of those people! I just want a small base, not anything big

If you can recognize the landmarks of the area, you could use them as triggers to become lucid. Also, by thinking about how you got there it doesn't necessarily mean how you traveled from point A-B in the dream, it means how you got to point A in the first place. When did you get on the bus? Where? What were you doing? Can you remember what happened before that?
