Question How to dream about what you want to

Just a quick question, I was wondering if there's any way of creating your own dream, before you fall asleep.

      For example:
I just rode a rollercoaster, it was fun, I want to do it again. That night I (insert strategy (if one exists) here) and dreamed about it.

Of course, I have no idea if this is possible, I have tried just visualizing it a couple times in my mind, then going to sleep, but that usually results in unwanted backwash dreams. IE: Dreamscapes that have a couple basic things in common, yet don't share much beyond that.

So I'm asking you. Is this possible (give sciencey proof if needed) and if so, how do I do it.

      Sweet dreams.

You're referring to dream incubation. I assume it's possible because there are lots of tutorials on the internet for it. Here's the dream incubation tutorial on Dreamviews. http://www.dreamviews.com/general-dr...-tutorial.html

I want to do this too!

mantras and visualizing what you want before bed can help. also, if you become lucid, good dream control can allow to change the scene on the fly

I always try and think about what I want to dream about before going to bed. It only works some of the time but it is nice when it does. Focus all your thoughts and attention at the scene you're creating in your mind. Think hard on who you want to see in the dream, where you want to go and what activities you want do. Once you have it all planned out, just daydream the whole thing until you fall asleep and actually dream. Also if you're able to become lucid, try to take yourself wherever you want to go and do whatever you want to do! That's the point of it all.

There is the sort of "dream" you can do just by thinking of something like a sort of movie, but it's very boring. Follow the tutorial Dolphin gave you.

Neither one of those techniques are boring. Dolphins, or the 'movie' way. Everyone constructs their dreams in different ways. Let him choose how he wants to do it, all by himself!
