      Smile Mantra for remembering dreams

I came across this on a book I was reading. It's a mantra for remembering dreams. If you're having difficulty remebering dreams upon waking up, this is worth a try.

A mantra is a series of sounds, a word or words that have psychic effects. They have these effects depending upon the words or sounds, which are often based on the vowels A,E,I,O,U. Each vowel corresponds to a certain Chakra (which are the astral body's senses), and increases a certain faculty.

The mantra is RAOM GAOM. When you pronounce it, elongate the sound of each letter: RRRAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOMMMMMM GGAAAAAAAAOOOOOMMM.

Repeat this mentally over and over for a while, while still lying on your bed just as you have awaken, nd you'll notice bits and pieces of the dream coming. Don't force yourself. The day won't pass without you knowing at least the theme or the elements of your dream.

Tried this, and it helps. I guess by repeating the words that are supposed to help you with dream recall, you are 'subconciously' remembering your dreams (somehow)

this seems worth a few tries. is it pronounced as it looks like, rah-om gah-om?
Dreaming is forgetting the basis of reality, remembering it is to be lucid.

I haven't tried any mantras yet. but I do believe in chakras so I guess I ought to give them a try

is this particular mantra for dreams only or is it for memories in general?

You're supposed to say this while still lying in bed, I guess this is just for remembering dreams...

      Hi!

My first post here! I've read that you have to lie still and say the mantra internally instead of out loud! Am going to try this tomorrow!

Yeah, mantras are usually better to be used by repeating something in head, though actually saying them works for some people, i guess which is better can vary from person to person.

And please, don't post in threads that are few years old, that is considered necroposting, and in that case it's better to start new thread. Thanks.
