Harder? Probably. Impossible? Absolutely not.
You could be on a stranded island with little food and nothing to sleep on and still even accidentally have a lucid dream (like a DILD or something, who knows).
A good sleeping environment and being calm and relaxed are both strongly recommended but not a necessity for lucid dreaming. Yes, it's best to have your own bedroom and yes, it's best not to be stressed, but they aren't exactly absolute requirements and not meeting that criteria doesn't mean you cannot ever possibly lucid dream, you know what I mean? It'll most likely be a lot harder and you might be having quite a bit of dry spells, but it's not absolutely impossible. If you're willing to put the effort into lucid dreaming, then keep going for it. You never know, someday your subconscious might go ahead and say, "hey voByJunior2013, I think I'll give you a lucid dream, why the heck not?"
I think I should also bring up, that if you don't believe you can have a lucid dream, then you won't have a lucid dream. Having doubts when trying to lucid dream can seriously inhibit your ability of doing so, because it all goes back to the subconscious. Be confident and call yourself a lucid dreamer, whether you're rich or poor and stressed or not, because (to get inspirational here) anything can happen as long as you believe it can.
(Especially in a lucid dream.)
Good luck, mate, both on your real life situation and your lucid dreaming experiences.
