Reoccuring Nightmares of Deceased Brother

My brother passed away last June from liver failure at the age of 31. I am 26 and am an alcoholic also but stopped drinking cold turkey the day he went into the hospital. The only reason i am stating this is because maybe it has something to do with my subconscious trying to figure something out i don't know.

Either way since he passed I have had nightmares with him in it. The dreams are usually along the lines of he died but somehow came back to life. He is either still in the hospital sick (sometimes cover in blood) or he is mentally ill.

These nightmares are not like he is chasing me or anything but when I wake up i am freaked out. I want them to stop and if he does come to me in a dream I would like it to be a good dream

I actually did get to talk to him in a dream since he passed, one of the most realistic dreams i have ever had. I told him he died and he said he knew and he seemed upset.

I wish i could figure out what my mind is trying to tell me.

Not sure what your believes are, my humble opinion is that your brother is trying to connect with you...

If so, what would he be trying to saying to say by giving me nightmares. I believe there is something after all of this i just dont know what btw.

Your brother is not trying to connect to you; that is impossible. You're simply thinking about this too much. You're only remembering his death, am i right? Therefore, you're going to dream about his death. You might feel more comfortable if you try to visit him in a dream and that might help with the nightmares.
