You want to try the technique long enough until you're sure you're doing it correctly. This time will vary because some techniques are trickier to do correctly than others. Once you're absolutely sure doing it correctly, try it for a couple of days while continuing to perform the technique correctly. If by this time, you're not seeing any progress in the form of increased in-dream awareness and memory for DILD, or getting closer to dreaming for WILD, than you should consider what you might be doing wrong with the technique before either making the changes and trying for another couple of days or changing to another technique altogether. |
