      Sleep the ultimate painkiller

It seems that sleep temporarily detaches consciousness from any bodily discomforts , last night I remembered moments from the last 'dreamlike' experience and it was blissfull and at peace. I tend to feel minor discomforts in neck areas but mostly my pain is mental. It's almost like sleep is a mechanism to get away from the neurosis of the busy world and pains and helps to cope and deal with (in my case) self inflicted discomforts. And so I find new respect for sleep as a reminder and energizing/reset feature to empower and comfort our daily efforts

      Hi,
Meditation can also achieve the same effects. Do you meditate?
      With kind regards,
      Guy

Dthoughts here, was having a little trouble managing accounts and too lazy to correct the mistake.

Do you have experience with this? if so I'd be glad to hear of them.

I do meditate and practice jedi mind tricks, I do notice similarities between the meditative mindstate but I don't practice tradionally I just sort of get to a mindset where I am at peace and leave the past behind. albe this is peaceful I have neven gotten to the point of noticing dream structures and the depth of 'painkilling effect' that this experience offers. So ye those are very similar. i think deep traditional meditation does exactly that. I mean bring your mind into a deep sleep state and have the mind fully conscious. I sort of only experience these kinds of effects when I am waken up during sleep and still remember it. Or from drugs like MXE. Very similar visual structures. I suppose it's much more intense when fully conscious. One thing that strikes me is that in both this sleep state and the MXE state I notice a distinct non-rememberance of everything that has to do with bodily, physical experience. I don't mean to wow you or anything I am just thinking out loud Hope you don't mind. Thanks for your post!
