      As I was saying...

Anyone who wants to take part in a dreaming exercise can e-mail me, and I'll give them an assignment.

You'll need to click on the profile in my blog and get my web e-mail address.

And I suppose I should mention that I've given assignments to about 15 people at this web site who have asked to take part in the exercise over the past few months, and none of them have been able to carry it out.

So if you're just interested in lucid dreaming, and you can't really DO it, then this isn't going to be for you.

They're exercises that people will carry out in lucid dreams under my direction. Only I will know the entire scope and purpose of the exercises until the end, when all who have successfully participated will be told the results.

In eight years of research, however, I've found that fewer than 1 percent of the people who claim they can dream lucidly really can do it. Everybody else is bullshitting. To this day I still can't imagine why anyone would make a hobby of going on the Internet and lying about his dreaming, but quite a few people do it. I wouldn't really care, except that such people waste my time and energy in an important project.

Again, if you really can't dream lucidly, then don't e-mail me. But anyone who can is welcome to take part in the inquiry.

when you say dream lucidly, I assume you mean at will, which is indeed an elusive skill. Most people probably say they're capable meaning that they've done it and do it intentionally, but not at will. I certainly can't do it at will, but I would say that I can do it on a fairly irregular regular basis (a couple times a week, but who knows when). Maybe you'd get some interest in this if you'd provide more details on the intent of this, if not the procedure, at least some information that you don't think will mess up the experiment or something.

Of course nobody can dream lucidly "at will." I'm talking about people who have never had a lucid dream in their lives, but who go online and talk as if they have them all the time. There are an awful lot of people like that, and they've been a huge nusiance to me in my project.

How do you know someone has never had a LD in their life?

I wonder if arne saknussemm's research of 8 + 4 years resulted in any improvement from the 1 %?

All I know is that lucid dreaming taught me much about waking life reality, and that things are not always as I once believed - it really freed my mind.
