Sometimes when im just starting to dream, and something like a truck will come very close to hitting me, and my body in real life will actually jump and tense up in my bed!

Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Its normal. Its because of fear your body becomes fully aware and emersed(sp?) in the dream that it thinks its real and reacts accordingly.

What do you mean by "starting to dream" ?
I think you mean "starting to sleep". Because when you start falling asleep, you'll pass the transcendental border, which expresses itself in those kind of pictures you were describing.
The function of your muscles is not totally switched off at that point yet, so your body reacts to those pictures you see.
When you are really asleep and dreaming, the musclefunctions are totally switched off, so you won't really run when you run in your dreams..

my experience is that sleep paralysis is not total.

I had a dream where I was punching someone and woke up punching my bed.

I've had several dreams where I kicked someone and I woke up kicking the blankets off my bed.

It can be annoying sometimes, when you wake up like that.
