Ok I know full well that the best person to interpret one’s dreams is oneself, but I find I generally understand things a lot better, including my own brain, once I’ve gathered every opinion I can possibly find.

I have a number of recurring dream symbols that visit me in almost every dream.
What I’m hoping to do is post my most frequently recurring dream symbols and find out how many others have the same recurring symbols in their dreams and what their experiences have been with regard to them. Kind of like a brainstorming session to help us figure out what our subconsciouses are trying to tell us.

Here’s a list of the ones that keep plaguing me:

      Water

      Vast, complex buildings

      Libraries

      Flying machines

      Roads

      Empty old-world cities

These are only the most commonly occurring symbols I have, i.e. have appeared in five or more dreams. I might include more if they manifest themselves frequently enough.

I must make a distinction here between common dream elements and recurring symbols.
The things in our dreams in general could be the result of any number of experiences we’ve had, books we’ve read, films we’ve watched.
But when our subconscious is repeatedly addressing us through the same dream situation again and again and again, it’s obviously trying to tell us something.

I can’t for the life of me work out what mine is trying to say but I've been having some of these for years so I'm starting to think that maybe I should be doing something about it.
I'm suggesting to anyone who’s in the same situation that we throw some ideas around.
If anyone has any of these things appearing regularly in their dreams I’d love to hear about it.
All and any opinions are, of course, welcome as well as all the speculation anyone cares to speculate.
A system of interpretation has to start with guesses.

So anyway that’s the idea. The most practical way of doing it would seem to be to start a new string for each symbol under a common title but before I do anything I want to make sure I'm actually going to get a response from this.

So... anyone else with recurring dream symbols they don't understand?

If so let me know and we'll do this thing

are recurring features in a lot of people's dreams.
This is one of the reasons i posted the topic.

I'm kinda busy right now but later I'll have a few questions to pose for anyone who cares to give an opinion.
