I went to be last night around 3AM, since my brother was playing his 360 in my room and I was working on my website anyway, and - I seriously had what felt like the longest dream I've ever had in my life.

When people talk about time being warped... holy shit... I am still in awe, at how long this dream seemed to be. It was atleast 3 days, maybe even 4-5, and it was almost like I was living a second life. The dream really didn't seem like it was based off a mian plot, but it was so consistant! What happened at one point lead a near perfect chain of cause and effect. I admit there were some stupid parts, but the overall feel of the dream was very real.

Near the end, I started to question myself, and my surroundings. But it all felt so real. Then I began to tell myself "the mind will let the dillusion go on as long as it makes sense" (<- I got from that from a House episode), and shortly after I found something wrong, and the dream ended.

I woke up, and just thought, if only I could go lucid and experience something like that! It was amazing!

I thought I've experienced a lengthy dream before, but this was by far, the longest in dream time I've felt. I seriously woke up, saw the clock - it said 8:30AM, and I sat there thinking "no way only 5 and a half hours just went by".

My little brother on the contrary: Zero recall last night, the exact opposite of me

Here's some motivation to begin WILD attempts again for me

Are you sure you weren't in a coma?

Anyways, that's cool. Did time really seem to pass that slow? You actually experienced morning, afternoon, night for each day?

Time doesn't pass "slow" or "fast" in dreams, there is no time. Dreams are conceptual thought, the ultimate form of thought, which is used by your subconscious. If everyone were to communicate through conceptual thought instead of speech then there would never be any misunderstandings because with each idea that one person would want to relay to another he/she would be able to relay a countless amount of information more needed to fully describe a certain concept but in a time far less than with speech.
It's the most optimal form of thought we use, congratulations on the fun dream, my longest has been two days, if I recall correctly.

i once had a dream that lasted for a month and my name was bob in my dream and the days were the same as they usually were in real life, so i didnt question it, it was a very boring month though, all the days seemed repeatrative...just like they did in real life... and then i woke up and only 8 hours had passed, and i remembered the dream and i seriously thought my name was bob (it isnt by the way) it was freaky, i mean it was so pointlesss and repeatative, that i cant even remeber large chuniks of the dream because what happened was the same as the day before or something crazy like that....now i would kill (metaphorically speaking) to have a dream like that, because now i would be able to turn lucid and have a month long lucid dream.

Hey, the guy wasn't in coma - the whole time he was being rushed to the ER while he was having his hallucination... and he experienced a day's worth of time in like what? 5 minutes?

Back on topic. Well, from what I can still recall, there was day/evening/night, there was no "sleep" period that I remember of - it sort of just skipped that stage.

But I just can't get over the consistancy of the dream yet. It wasn't like action A lead to completely unrelated point B.

I need to start WILDing again... and I need to attempt it after only like 3-4 hours of sleep, that way I have my entire REM period to look forward to if I succeed.

Aren't long dreams like that similiar to movies because they skip the boring parts and focus on the main parts. Like in movies when a character goes to sleep and is awake 3 seconds later, you think a whole night had passed yet it was only 3 second.

I have had 5 minute naps that seem like hours (which I think I would prefer&#33 in my dreams but nothing like this.
