first a little background info-

i remodel houses and last week i finished a walk-in marble shower with marble seats and all that fancy shit. Anyway im still working at that house, now im painting the interior walls and ceilings.

So this morning i wake up and like usual i cant remember any dreams lol. I go through my morning routine and go to work. As i pull up to the house, i notice a plumbers truck there and it immediately reminds me of a dream i had last night, where a plumber working on that house tells me i have to replace a tile, because the hole i drilled for the plumbing is a tad too large. I thought it was funny and i was happy i remembered part of a dream. Well i go in the house and start painting and guess what?

the plumber approaches me and asks me if i did the tilework in the shower and i said yes. He then proceeds to tell me that i cut one of the holes too big and im going to have to replace a tile and put a smaller hole in the new one. Now im freaking out lol. Im like "show me" and he brings me into the shower and lo and behold its the same exact tile i dreamt about. I had to drill 4 holes in 4 different tiles for this shower and it was the exact one i was dreamt about. How does this shit happen? I think its just coincidence but that seems like the easy answer.

      pretty crazy though
      am i dreaming?

I've had quite a few precognitive dreams, and have given hte possibility quite allot of thought.
I posted a theory of mine, click here to view it in the beyond dreaming section of hte forums. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I'd love to discuss precognitive dreaming with you. All tho all I have is theory's, i believe in the ability very strongly.

I'll first say that I'm quite sceptic about the possibily of precognitive dream.

My personnal theory for your particular case is that it was not "purely" precognitive: you didn't dream about something that was absolutely impossible to know (like lotery numbers...), but rather of something that you could have rationnaly predicted: you drilled yourself the hole, I suppose you are quite used to it in your job, and if it was too big, maybe you didn't realized it consciously, but your subconscious did and "warned you" by a dream.

It is well known that sometimes, solutions to problems that we think about in the day will appear by themselves during the night. You didn't know there was a problem, but were still thinking about at a subconscious level.

Once I had what seems like a precog... In a lucid dream, a midget appeared while I was looking for a dreamguide; the morning after, "midgets" were the subject of a short movie I downloaded randomly... However, it was the only time (I "asked" for precognitive hints in lucid dreams after that, but they never happened in real life.) For now, I put it in the "statistical coincidence" category (with hundreds of dreams in my dream journal, all different, one with relation with future events is not very improbable.)

I've had a couple of precognitive dreams of my own. Usually the actual event happens much later, sometimes months after the dream, and it is always something so insignificant I don't give it much notice. Still quite cool, however.

Its thought that pre-cog dreams are your minds way of looking at events and working out whats going to happen from previous experiences.

[EDIT] and that is one cool signature

Although I am a skeptic when it comes to the subject of dreams telling the future my Mom did have a dream that did actually happen.

One day from school a while back my dad came up to me and told me not to tell my mom that the cookie jar broke. Later that day when my mom came home from work she tells me her dream where in she saw that the cookie jar was broken and my father was trying to fix it with duct tape.

I did not break down and tell her that the jar was actually broken but fixed in a much better way.

I've never had a precognitive dream, but I would say an amazing coincidence, or perhaps you mind CONVINCES you you dreampt this exact thing, and in reality it was slightly different. Just a thought
