From what I've seen, this is a fairly common problem, and has happened to me as well. Lucid dreaming happens when you're at a mental state very close to awakening. Soon after you become lucid, you can begin to awaken, the most obvious sign of which is the fading of vision. However, there are ways to stabilize the dream, and keep it from fading. My preferred method is to stare at my hands until the details become clear, and with them, the rest of the dream. Other methods that work well are spinning, while focusing on the feeling of movement, or rubbing your hands together, while focusing on the feeling. |

this actually was a non-lucid dream...ha |
|
Even though it was a non-lucid dream, you were probably close to awakening and were losing sight of the dream. This has happened to me before, so there is no need to worry. |

whisper hello; i miss u quite terribly
true dat.. |

I get that a lot actually; it really does piss me off. I'll be walking around in a non or lucid dream then I may blink without even noticing it then I can't see. I can feel and still continue within the dream. But then I wake up. Like FireFlying said you’re just pulling out of the dream. |

I have never lost my ability to see in a dream. But if it was all black, you were not blind, everything was just black; if the eyes do not work, you'd not see anything, from what I have read. |

I had that tonight. Right after I attained lucidity, it went pitch black, and I heard a static, buzzing noise. I just changed the scenario to what I wanted it to be though. |
